 Avista Utilities Upper Falls Powerhouse Phase I

Continuing the long-standing relationship with Avista Utilities, H2E has been awarded the follow-on contract to assist with Phase I of the Upper Falls Powerhouse upgrade. H2E will provide design engineering services and construction support for the replacement of the underground utility duct bank which was built in 1921. Phase I is the first of two phases to upgrade the Upper Falls Powerhouse with infrastructure and state-of-the-art gear.

 

 

 Ash Grove Cement Leamington Plant

H2E is pleased to provide continuing services to Ash Grove Cement's Leamington facility. H2E's most recent award is in support of Radio Communication Integration. This project is the latest in a series of upgrades for the Leamington plant which includes electrical design of the Clinker Storage Baghouse and the Kiln Burner Blower Replacement.

 

 

 MERDI Server Integration

H2E is pleased to engage with MERDI in a second project, providing server integration and hardware maintenance for the installation of a new Historian computer. H2E will provide procurement, software development and commissioning services in upgrading MERDI's existing server with a new system including the latest HMI programs from InSQL and Active Factory. 

 

 

 Power City Electric Walla Walla WWTP Phase III Upgrade

H2E welcomes the opportunity to provide HMI and PLC programming services for the Phase III upgrade to the Walla Walla Waste Water Treatment Plant. H2E will provide engineering services for motor control additions to the plant and headworks pump station; pump control for an equalization basin and lagoon monitoring.  

 

 

 Freeport, McMoran, Copper & Gold Tenke Fungurume Mining S.A.R.L.

H2E is pleased to announce the recently formalized Consulting Services Agreement with Tenke Fungurume Mining S.A.R.L. and its affiliate, the Freeport, McMoran, Copper & Gold (formerly Phelps Dodge Corporation).  H2E will be supplying Electrical Engineering and Controls Engineering Services in support of an international mining project. 

 

 

 Fluor Global Services ALCOA Wenatchee Works

H2E was awarded a competitive bid project to design new boiler control systems for two dual-fuel boilers at the ALCOA Wenatchee Works facility. H2E will provide the P&ID development, control system design, equipment selection and construction work plan development.

 

 

 Fluor Global Services General Services Agreement

H2E is pleased to announce the signing of a Blanket Contract Release agreement with Fluor Global Services. This agreement establishes H2E has met all of the requirements set forth by Fluor to perform engineering services. The agreement allows Fluor to execute contracts with H2E wherever Fluor feels they may need the services H2E provides. Jesse McDaniel, H2E/Fluor Global Account Manager commented, "We are pleased to be a part of the Fluor Global team and it is an honor to be recognized as an engineering service partner." Since the inception of this agreement, H2E has supported projects at Intalco Works, Ferndale, WA and Lake Charles Primary Metals, Lake Charles, LA.

 

 

 MERDI - Atlantic Richfield Warm Springs WWTP Upgrade

H2E enjoys adding Atlantic Richfield to our key client base in supporting with control engineering services in upgrading the existing HMI/Control system. Working with MERDI, AR's site operations manager, H2E will perform system evaluations, maintenance upgrades and system enhancement services.

 

 

 City of Spokane Upriver Dam

H2E has received award for the continuation of engineering and control services for the City of Spokane Water District - Upriver Dam. Building off the previous successful implementation of Wonderware SCADA package, H2E will now continue leading the implementation team in expanding the same platform across the water systems for full site integration.

 

 

 EMC2- Markleeville, CA Satellite Telemetry System

EMC2 has once again partnered with H2E Inc. for design services in the development of the electrical, controls, and telemetry systems for a treatment project located in a remote part of the Sierra Mountains .  Preliminary designs and trials are to be completed through the summer of 2006. 

 

 

 Fluor/Alcoa – Lake Charles, LA Project Engineering Support

H2E has been awarded a contract extension with the Fluor/Alcoa Alliance to continue Project Engineering support of a large capital project in Lake Charles, LA.  H2E has teamed with Coffman Engineers to provide electrical and mechanical engineering support of this critical plant project.  Engineering management, scope development, bid evaluation, and design control form part of the duties of the project team.

Boise Wood Products - Alexandria, LA Facility Office Expansion

Through our continued alliance with Boise , H2E has been awarded a facility office expansion project at Boise 's Alexandria , LA plant. H2E will be providing data/receptacle, lighting, and Emergency System layout for the project. Construction is anticipated to commence in June '06.

 

 Modern Electric Water Co Opportunity Substation SCADA Upgrade H2E has been awarded a project to design and commission Modern Electric Water Co.'s SCADA upgrade for the new Opportunity Substation.
 
City of Spokane Upper River Dam H2E has been recently awarded a project by the City of Spokane Water District to integrate and upgrade the power houses and dam with a Wonderware SCADA system.  The project entails control and communication system design and HMI development to enable the operators to control the system from the control center.
 
Wagstaff WTP CO2 Storage Recirc and Blast

H2E is teamed with Wagstaff, Incorporated to develop CO2 Pellet Blasting Systems ($1.5M) for the Bechtel National Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) Project. H2E's role is to provide system engineering design and integration of the OEM TOMCO Cryogenic Storage/Pumping and Coldjet Pelletizer / Blaster subsystems. H2E will also design and fabricate Main Communications Panel that interfaces with the WTP Integrated Control Network and the OEM subsystem controllers. Once design and fabrication are complete, H2E will assist in the development of full function test procedures and testing performance to verify CO2 Pellet Blasting System performance.

 
Avista Kettle Falls Generating Station Automation Upgrade

H2E was awarded the Avista Kettle Falls Generating Station automation upgrade.  The generating station operates a 50 MW GE Steam Turbine, and is currently controlled by a VME logic system hardwired to a mimic panel that provides safety interlocks for the natural gas train of the boiler.  The upgrade will include redundant ControlLogix systems and a Wonderware touchscreen.

  City of Coeur d'Alene Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 4B Upgrade and Expansion

H2E was  recently awarded the Coeur d'Alene Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 4B Upgrade and Expansion Project.  The project includes  Controls engineering and design, instrumentation equipment and procurement, PLC & HMI equipment selection and procurement, PLC/HMI software engineering and programming, Electrical Construction Support, and Startup & Commissioning Support.

 

Ash Grove Lemington

 

 

 

 Compressor Upgrade 3 and 6

H2E is providing on going Electrical & Controls Engineering support for the Ashgrove Cement Plant in Lemington Utah. H2E's latest project is in support of the relocating two (2) 4160 VAC compressors and one (1) new compressor to a newly commissioned switchgear room. This project includes providing all electrical and controls drawings to facilitate the relocation effort, providing software (SCADA) engineering for both the PLC and HMI systems, construction support, and startup & commissioning support of the compressor system.

Modern Electric Water Company Water System
H2E is providing a detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The communication architecture employs an Ethernet Spread Spectrum radio network utilizing a peer-to-peer communication protocol for reduced response times.
 
Cummins Cal Pacific Remote Generator Control
H2E is performing a power system review for remotely controlling and paralleling two generator plants via fiber-optic for Cummins Cal Pacific. The study includes an electrical infrastructure review, load flow and short circuit study utilizing Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP).

 Relay and Generator Coordination Modification

H2E provided electrical support for Anglo Gold including data collection, a computer model update, a short circuit study, load flow study, relay coordination study, and a report summarizing their findings.

 River Protection Project Waste Treatment Plant – Container Lidding

H2E is pleased to announce the project award for   the Waste Treatment Plant Container Lidding Project with Wagstaff , Incorporated.  In this project, H2E will design and analyze the electrical, instrumentation and control systems; provide engineering documentation; prepare procurement specification documents for electrical and control equipment; support Manual & Instruction development and fabricate the UL-508a Industrial Control Panels and junction boxes.

Goodrich Cooporation Furnace MCC Upgrade
H2E is providing cost and scheduling information for a preliminary design for a new 15kV padmount switchgear, step down transformer, and MCC.
 

Kaiser Aluminum – Trentwood Works 

 

 Soak Pit Replacement

H2E was awarded the project to replace vintage Robicon reversible 400 hp drive system.  The drives control a critical operation for temperature allowing Kaiser to condition  the aluminum ingots.  H2E is providing and engineered solution, on an expedited project schedule and was the only bidder that could meet specification.

Upper Falls Scoping

H2E was contracted to scope, provide preliminary engineering & specifications for medium voltage equipment & underground transmission for an upgrade of a Hydro-Electric Development (HED).

 

Riley Creek Lumber

 Chilco Facility Boiler Relocation Project

H2E is part of the T & L Enterprises Team that is designing and building the electrical and control system upgrade associated with the relocation of a ‘hog fuel' boiler. H2E is responsible for detailed control system design, PLC and SCADA software development and field commissioning on this project

 Switchgear Modification Project
H2E is working with Ash Grove to modify their primary 4160V switchgear to properly protect two different bifurcated feeder systems at its Leamington Facility. H2E is responsible for the relay coordination study, equipment specification, detailed drawings, and construction support.

Power Study

H2E is working with Goodrich to perform loadflow, short circuit and breaker coordination studies for the addition of two induction furnaces. H2E is to develop power supply options, feeder cable sizes, drawings and specifications.

Anglo Gold Crusher Upgrade
H2E is providing database support for the Historian Server and PLC programming support to include the Load Out Bin and network support for generator parallel communicaiton and synchronization.
Goodrich Furncace C-23 Drawing Modifications
H2E is updating one switch gear one line, two MCC one lines, one MCC elevation drawing, and a Power and Control Basement Floor Plan.
Ash Grove Compressor Programming

H2E is working with Ash Grove Cement to provide network design which consist of redundant data communication on a DH+ Network and PLC programming for the air compressor and glycol systems.

Goodrich UPS Upgrade Project

H2E is working with Goodrich to install an industrial UPS system in their Spokane, WA facility. This project requires analysis of the UPS' loads and profiles, data waveforms, and the resultant design of a robust system including detailed drawings, procurement specifications, construction support, and commissioning.

  Unifield Storage Expansion Project
H2E is working with Unifield Engineering to provide engineering design, procurement assistance, and Electrical and Controls Construction Management for the expansion of Ash Groves Kennewick terminal.
  Wagstaff River Protection Project Waste Treatment Plant – Cask Lidding Project

H2E is part of the Wagstaff, Incorporated Design-Build Team that is developing the Cask Lidding machines for the PTF, HEH and RWH processing lines at the WTP. This project involves nuclear, radiation and NQA-1 quality aspects. The Casks are used to provide shielding for radioactive material containers during transport.

 River Protection Project Waste Treatment Plant – LAW Canister Receipt Conveyor Systems

H2E is part of the Wagstaff, Incorporated Design-Build Team that is developing the Low Activated Waste (LAW) Canister Receipt Conveyor Systems for the WTP. H2E is responsible for detailed electrical and control system design of the systems that are used to transport new empty LAW Canisters on multiple conveyor sections through a series of airlock doors, form a loading dock area up to a conveyor that serves the dual function of a conveyor and hatch.

 River Protection Project Waste Treatment Plant – LAW & PTF Bogies

H2E is part of the Wagstaff, Incorporated Design-Build Team that is developing the Low Activated Waste (LAW) and Pretreatment Facility (PTF) Bogie systems for the WTP. H2E is responsible for detailed electrical and control system design of the Laser Guided Bogie Systems that will operate in unmanned cells to transport canisters containing radioactive material between processing stations. A ‘bogie' is a four-wheeled trolley that travels on a pair of parallel rails.

H2E is part of the Wagstaff, Incorporated Design-Build Team that is developing the Special Inert Fill Hopper systems for the LAW facility at the WTP. This project includes nuclear, radiation and NQA-1 quality aspects.
