Heckerman, P.E. Senior Instrumentation & Controls
Engineer
Neil Heckerman has six years of experience as a facility engineer
and fourteen years of experience as a consulting engineer. Mr. Heckermans
expertise lies in control system design, process instrumentation,
project management and construction support. He is responsible
for the preparation of Process Flow and Operational Descriptions
(PFODs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs),
control system logic, I/O drawings and intelligent alarm networks.
Mr. Heckerman honed his instrumentation and controls background
in the nuclear research industry with Westinghouse and Babcock
& Wilcox. Mr. Heckerman graduated from Montana State University
with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Washington
State University with a Masters in Business Administration.
Troy Pefley,
P.E. Senior Software
& Communications Engineer
Troy Pefleys eighteen years of experience include the design
and application of electromechanical machines for Boeing, nuclear
inventory security systems for Westinghouse & Protec, Inc.,
process control engineering for Oceaneering and software development
for Casne Engineering. He has expertise in the specification,
application and design of network topologies, communication systems,
processing platforms and software engineering for industrial,
municipal and process facilities. Mr. Pefley has taught seminars
on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems and
authored software development standards for several corporations.
Mr. Pefley graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor
of Science in Electrical Engineering and Washington State University
with a Masters in Business Administration.
Mark Tiffany,
P.E. Senior Power
Engineer
Mark Tiffany obtained his practical knowledge in complex power
systems while working as a facility engineer for nine years in
the petrochemical industry with Chevron and three years in the
light metals industry with Kaiser Aluminum. His expertise is in
medium and low voltage power systems, including generation, protective
relaying, computer-based electrical system modeling, power management
systems, facility substation design, rectification systems, motor
control centers, and emergency/standby systems. Mr. Tiffany is
nationally recognized for his work in developing power monitoring
and management systems. He graduated from Washington State University
with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Jesse McDaniel, P.E Senior Electrical Engineer
Jesse McDaniel has over seventeen years of experience in the field of Electrical and Controls Engineering. Mr. McDaniel started his career out as an industrial facilities engineer including five years with U.S.S Posco (a U.S. Steel & Pohang Steel joint venture) and five years with Kaiser Aluminum. Mr. McDaniel than transitioned from the industrial world to the consulting world and has spent the last five years providing electrical and controls engineering design to a large variety of industrial clients. Mr. McDaniel's experience includes the application and Design of Process Instrumentation and Control Systems, PLC and HMI / SCADA Systems, application and Design of Medium and Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems, Project Management and Support, Construction Management and Support, Electrical Inspection Services, Equipment Specification and Procurement and Technical Specification development. Mr. McDaniel has extensive experience in industrial control systems, low voltage distribution systems and medium voltage distribution systems. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Doug Lauer, P.E Senior Electrical Engineer
Mr. Lauer has over seventeen years of experience in the field of Electrical and Controls Engineering. Mr. Lauer's experience includes the application and Design of Process Instrumentation and Control Systems, PLC and HMI/SCADA Systems, application and Design of Medium and Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems, Project Management and Support, Construction Management and Support, Electrical Inspection Services, Equipment Specification and Procurement and Technical Specification development. Mr. Lauer has extensive experience in industrial control systems, low voltage distribution systems and medium voltage distribution systems. Project responsibilities included Specification Development, Scheduling, Cost Controls, Operational Documentation, preparation of motor control diagrams, panel diagrams, area classification diagrams, power distribution diagrams, control strategy development, wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams and Operational Descriptions. Additional responsibilities include feasibility studies, project cost-estimation, and return on investment and payback analysis. Mr. Lauer has computer skills including the use of electrical modeling programs and Microsoft products such as word processing, project scheduling programs, spreadsheets, power point, and email programs.
